DURING 2020, THE BUSINESS WAS ADVERSELY IMPACTED BY THE OUTBREAK OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC AND ITS DEVELOPMENT THROUGHOUT THE REST OF THE YEAR.

Trading in January and February was actually better than in 2019, however when, the pandemic hit Malta the business of the Mall suffered significant disruption. On 23 March, the Company announced that in the light of the prevailing circumstances, The Point Shopping Mall would be closed for business and its operations were being suspended in line with the directives issued by the National Health Authorities for non-essential retail operations. This closure lasted till 4 May, when the shopping mall reopened for business. During the closure period, only the food store and the pharmacy continued to trade.
